Harry Borsheim, LLP
Harry Borsheim is a Limited License Psychologist, graduating from Evangel University, Springfield, Missouri with a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies (1974). He has further education from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan with a Masters degree in Counseling Education Counseling Psychology (1993). Additional training includes Dialectical Behavior, Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavior and Marital therapies.
He has a wealth of life experiences including his journey through grief due to the death of his wife after 36 years of marriage and his daughter’s uncontrolled seizure disorder with its associated traumas. Additionally, he has 39 years of pastoring and counseling people with a variety of needs. Combining this with 28 years of counseling at Summit Pointe and now at Comforts of Home Counseling, he continues to address holistic health issues.
Harry has worked with adults who experienced childhood sexual abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, anger disorders and marital adjustment issues. He treats each person as a 3-fold entity of body, mind and spirit; using a variety of treatment modalities from cognitive behavior therapy, mental imagery, client centered and brief focused therapy. He uses both spiritual and secular based approaches depending on client choice and looks forward to working with you to find life changing solutions.
