Dawn Lowrance, LMSW
Dawn Lowrance is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Michigan. She brings extensive experience in the healthcare industry with a background in geriatrics and mental health. She has over 15 years of experience working with older adults and in skilled nursing facilities. Her education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Western Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University.
Dawn specializes in working with the geriatric population providing counseling and care management services. She has a multitude of knowledge regarding community resources for her patients as well as their caregivers. She has many years of experience in working and collaborating with Hospice agencies, assisted livings, adult foster care homes and the CentraCare Pace program. Additionally, Dawn has extensive experience working in the hospital setting where she specializes working in the Emergency Department in which she has multiple responsibilities including assessment and referral for mental health and substance use needs of her patients.
Dawn is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the treatment of Grief and Loss as well as the Behavioral Treatment of Chronic Pain. In addition to providing counseling services in the outpatient setting, she also provides counseling services for individuals who are homebound and unable to be transported to outpatient psychotherapy services.
