Sometimes we hold on to things in our mind, body, and soul for a long time. These things may be ideas, beliefs, expectations, or even people. This internal luggage may not serve us anymore, or perhaps they never did. Our internal luggage blocks us from living in the present moment and being content and peaceful with our lives and mentality. Letting go of this mental traffic is a catharsis, or a release, like a weight off your chest, just a weight that you’ve been holding for months, years, or decades. Letting go of fear, hurt, anxiety, guilt, etc., will bring relaxation back into your life; being able to relax allows one to find greater meaning and passion in their life, while also improving your physical and emotional well-being.
What is Letting Go?
At Comforts of Home Counseling, we provide a periodic program called Letting Go. This is a one of the kind experience that allows you to uncover what stands between you and your goals of joyful living. This special event is open to anyone and everyone but brings together an intimate group of people for intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth. Everyone has something that bothers them, it is part of being human. Combining advanced instruction on human behavior with powerful interactive exercises, Letting Go fosters dynamic learning in a safe and sacred place. Our unique program addresses wellness from a mind-body-spirit perspective, while teaching proven holistic healing approaches in order to let go of past, heavy luggage. Letting Go takes place over a weekend, starts on a Friday evening and ends on Sunday afternoon and is a weekend of discovery, transformation, and renewal as you learn how to break free from the past and develop the ability to experience what true freedom feels like, the freedom to not have anyone or anything have control of your mind.
